behandeld. Zo gaat de traditionele Mongoolse muziek overwegend over
de wind, rivieren en bergen of paarden en kamelen. Khoomii, de
wereldwijd bekende keelzang of boventoonzang, is een duidelijke

to the privileged groups living in urban areas" warns the National Human

researchers and experts details human development disparities in urban and

Armed Forces compact and professional
Redactie, 07/03/2004 09:19
Mongolia's armed forces have become more compact and professional since

A Mongolian New Year
Redactie, 01/03/2004 11:20
Mongolia and a number of other Eastern and Central Asian countries have
used the Lunar Calendar, with its 12 animal cycles, since ancient times.
The date of Tsagaan Sar depends on the moon's cycle and falls anywhere
between the end of January and early March. In times gone by, Mongolians
celebrated Tsagaan Sar in autumn, a season that saw an abundance of milk
and milk products. In 1206, Temujin was proclaimed the Great Khan of all
Mongols. To celebrate, he arranged an elaborate feast, which was

Asked to describe the appearance of a modern-day ambassador, most people
would probably begin with immaculate grooming, well-tailored clothing,
refined manners and a polished style that elucidates years of government
service. Ask a Mongolian who encountered Seoul's Gecko's Glaciers during a
visit to that country in January and their translated response could lead
to only one conclusion: ice hockey player. Forget about stereotypical
descriptions of ice hockey players as Neanderthals with gap

advised me to go to the TV tower for a stunning view of the city. I'd
replied that I would go once the weather cleared up, which they thought
was a strange thing to say. Now back in Beijing I could see what they
meant.

Mongolie is waanzinnig. Ik heb heel snel heel veel van Mongolie gezien,
want ik werd meegesleurd door iemand van de Nederlands-Mongoolse

één operatietafel en sterilisatieapparatuur uit de jaren 20.
